Based on our innovative design template, each
Carchair is engineered and assembled to exacting high
standards of workmanship and quality, taking into
account the important individual and specific
requirements of the end user and their choice from a
selected range of suitable people carriers (MPVs) or
three door vehicles.
Each original motor vehicle is adapted and altered as little as possible to incorporate the Carchair. A powered lift system is fitted within the vehicle and entry is via the standard passenger door. The lift is operated by a handset and gently raises the wheelchair and its occupant from the ground. Once the wheels have been retracted, either electronically or manually, it can be swivelled and lowered into the front passenger seat position where it is securely locked into place. The wheelchair user can enjoy the same level of headroom, visibility and social interaction as any front seat passenger, and boot storage space is conveniently left free.
