Once you've decided to contact us about a wheelchair accessible vehicle our experts will be on hand to help you make the decision that's right for you. Your first point-of-contact will be our sales team who will ask you relevant questions to establish which conversion is best suited to your needs and requirements. These might include details about the wheelchair measurements, the wheelchair user's seated height and how many passengers will be required to travel in the vehicle.

You won't need to make a decision straight away, because we'll send you any further information you need and answer any questions you have. We want to make sure you choose the wheelchair accessible vehicle that's absolutely right for you.

See, Try, Decide for Yourself

Every Constables' wheelchair accessible vehicle has been developed to offer a great solution to getting out and about for wheelchair users. As with choosing any other type of vehicle, it's really important to have a test-drive so that you can feel confident that the wheelchair car is right for you.

So we'll bring your choice of wheelchair accessible vehicle to your home, school or workplace so that those who will be driving the car can experience its qualities, as well as having hands-on experience with the ramp and wheelchair securing system.

Our fully trained demonstrator will show you how to operate the mobility features, as well as answering any questions that you may have. The whole demonstration process will help to establish whether the wheelchair user can sit comfortably within the conversion, along with the other passengers and how any equipment, mobility aids or child seats can also be safely accommodated.

You'll be given the opportunity to drive the wheelchair accessible vehicle along the type of routes you normally travel, to park it in public areas or at your home and to practice getting the wheelchair in and out.

It's Your Choice

Once you've made your decision, we can help you with the alternative methods of payment. As a Motability Converter Partner, we can guide you through the required paperwork and procedures to secure your new wheelchair accessible vehicle through the Motability Contract Hire Scheme.

If you prefer to finance the purchase yourself, we can introduce you to our specialist loan partner, Southern Finance. They have a long track record in providing loans to purchase wheelchair accessible vehicles. Alternatively, you can choose to make your own independent financial arrangements.

Sometimes we're asked if we can supply a vehicle very quickly, often due to a change of circumstance and in these cases we will do everything we can to help source a suitable vehicle.

We also supply 'Nearly New' & used vehicles direct from our company or via the Motability scheme. So, if you would like to consider a more economical alternative, please do speak to one of the team who will be happy to talk you through the different options.

Behind the Scenes

Once you've made your decision our after-sales team will make sure that the right car is allocated to you and the conversion engineering work is scheduled. After the vehicle has been delivered to our factory, the engineering team begins the conversion process and as it nears completion we'll contact you to discuss delivery and to find out how you wish to pay. We'll also apply for the vehicle's LVTA certificate and then we'll either liaise with Motability or yourself if you are buying the wheelchair accessible vehicle direct, in order to arrange insurance so that we can tax your new wheelchair adapted vehicle ready for delivery.

Your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle is Delivered

The best part of the whole process is when we hand you the keys to your new Constables wheelchair accessible vehicle. One of our delivery team will bring your wheelchair car directly to you and will take as much time as you need to show you how to use every aspect of your new vehicle. They'll also take away your old vehicle, if this has been arranged.

A couple of weeks later the customer service team will be in touch to check that you're happy with your new wheelchair accessible vehicle and to get your feedback on our people, our service and our engineering. If you have any problems or concerns, either now or during the life of your wheelchair adapted vehicle, this team will do their very best to help you - so do make a note of their number!

Enjoy!

Finally, enjoy the peace of mind that comes from owning a quality wheelchair accessible vehicle that suits your lifestyle and the needs of your family from a company that excels in ergonomics, engineering and delivering what you want.
